Our Director – Miss Candice

Candice Arnold (nee Jones) is well known within the local community having grown up, and still residing, in the area. Candice continues to have ongoing involvement with Community Theatre Companies, as well as the Dance Programs in many local schools on the North Shore after graduating from ED5 International in 2009 with a Certificate IV in Performing Arts.

As a Dancer from age 3 and commencing her Teaching Career at age 15, Candice’s passion for teaching is what motivates her to share her love and enthusiasm for the Performing Arts with not just our Students, but the whole Footloose Performance Studios Family. With an extensive background in both Dance and the Performing Arts, Candice’s mission is to provide her students with quality tuition while giving them the most memorable and positive dance experience possible.

Meet our Teachers!

Katie has been dancing since the age of 7 and quickly discovered she had a passion for it. After finishing Year 12 she continued dancing for 2 years full time at ED5 International, graduating in 2016 with a Diploma of Performing Arts. She has trained in all styles to a professional level including Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap and Ballet.

Katie loves teaching and passing on her knowledge and experience to children of all ages, and hopes she can inspire them to follow their talent and dreams

Footloose Performance Studios Teacher Miss AmandaAmanda’s love of dancing began when she was just 6 years old. Over the years she has studied a variety of dance styles at one of Mackay’s premier dance schools competing in numerous eisteddfods throughout North Queensland with great success. In 2013 Amanda was fortunate to be part of the cast in “Wasted Space” production of the Boy from Oz, where she developed a love of Musical Theatre.

Graduating from Dance Force, Tweed Heads at the end of 2016 with a Cert IV in Dance, Amanda has spent the last year further developing her skills taking multiple weekly classes. Having previously taught classes at a variety of Studios, Amanda is excited to be joining the Footloose Team in 2018.

Monique started dancing at the tender age of 4 studying Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary. For over 15 years she has had great experiences with a variety of teachers and dancers whilst performing within the elite groups of her childhood studio.

Throughout her hard work and dedication she has performed countless times at the Opera House, as well as being named the Best Tappers in Australia. She has partaken in paid performances tap dancing through the streets of Sydney during Chinese New Year and has been seen performing on television nationally on Channel 10.

With several years teaching experience, Monique is super excited to be joining the Footloose Team this year!

Kylie has been performing ever since she was old enough to hold a microphone and started her dance training very young, completing it at brent Street Studio as a full time dance student. Kylie is trained in Cecchetti & RAD Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Singing and Drama. Kylie has her Certificate IV in Dance Performance and has completed teaching certificates in Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap in addition to her Certificates IV & V in Physical Education and is currently completing her Sports Science degree at ACPE University.

Throughout her career as a performer she has had extensive television and film experiences.  Kylie’s passion for singing started young and she was recording jingles and voice overs for Century Fox from the age of 10. She has sung professionally in bands, variety shows and cabaret events and has been performing as a lead vocalist & MS on the Sydney Showboat for the past 3 years. Kylie has also written and produced several original Musicals, some of which have been staged professionally.

Kylie has been teaching dance and singing for over 18 years and is an excellent performance coach preparing students for auditions and eisteddfods with several of her former students appearing in professional productions including Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Matilda. Fostering a love of dance and performance so that she can bring out the best in all her students is the key to her teaching success.
